State offers a couple of different things from, developing film, printing photos, but the lab is getting the NEW polaroids in! It's be awhile since you've seen the original polaroids floating around, but it's coming back. If you're interested in more details about polaroid and where it had gone google or click, The Impossible Project.

For all those polaroid users get ready because it's about to go down with these new cameras. They're new with an original twist and State will be caring them this month! If you want in on the best of instant film you better act quick.
I wanted to ask Billy the same set of questions to fill you in on what State Film is all about. I love being able to highlight these hard working business owners and their passions. There's a story behind each place you buy your things from and it should be shared!
What inspired you to start State Film?
I’ve been interested in the darkroom process of analog photography since I was a teenager, but I never had the opportunity to take darkroom classes in high school or college. I began photographing weddings professionally at age 19. After 5 years of being in the industry and soaking up information, I began piecing together my own photo lab. Gradually, I created State Film Lab as a resource for pro and amateur photographers interested in analog film.
What’s your favorite part of the production and why?
Film development is probably my favorite part of the production. Even though the process has been around for 100 years, I’m still amazed by the process of capturing light on film.
Who did you have in mind while creating your service?
State Film Lab was created to serve professional photographers as well as amateurs and hobbyists. We work regularly with pro film shooters providing quality lab services. We also love working with anyone new to film and providing education to the community.
Describe your creative process from design to production.
Our work starts with the photographer. Photographers come in a wide variety and we strive to craft a service that fits each individual. We communicate regularly with our professional photographers to ensure we understand their vision and their work. This helps us produce results tailored to their business. When working with people who are new to film, we can provide feedback based on their negatives that will help them understand their exposures and light.

Be sure to stop by the lab if you're in the area or check out the website.
