What I Least Expected

Have you ever dreamed of accomplishing goals for yourself? Do you remember when you were a kid and you knew without a doubt what you were going to be when you got older? For me, I dreamt of being a teacher, a psychologist, a ballerina, a photographer and then I got older & became a hairstylist. I shifted my dreams and I may have been a hairstylist for 9 years, but if you think about it, I became a teacher of sorts and I also became a psychologist/therapist. I taught people to do their own hair or makeup, but I also taught them to love themselves. I listened to people and their struggles, I've heard many heartbreaking stories in my life and celebrated some of the best moments too. Now, I'm a mom to two littles, working in a bomb a** film lab and educating on the benefits of essential oils alongside Young Living.

This life. It's what I have least expected.

I didn't expect to be working in a film lab relearning about film photography and development on a larger scale. You know what though? I love it. I've met some cool people who don't realize it, but they're some of my inspiration to be creative.

Mostly, I did NOT expect to be this crunchy gal using essential oils. I mean if you look at our life we started to change the way we ate and we started exercising more and we started getting "green" products in our home. Green cleaning was a thing back then. So...if you start putting that all together it kind of makes sense. I also didn't expect to get into the business side of things. Yet, here I am researching, teaching, loving on strangers, family, and friends. I'm listening to their hearts and their desires and I stumbled upon a gift of good products but more importantly, I stumbled upon a beautiful community of people cheering for me and now I get to cheer you on too.

I've been given the opportunity to stretch myself and turn away the fear. The fear of what if's, the fear of toxins in our home because I now have amazing options to choose from, the fear of self-doubt, the fear of rejection. It's apart of my story and I'm human so fears seep in, but I'm learning to squash them.

Why did I choose Young Living?

I experienced their product work first hand before purchasing a kit. Once I realized they worked, I needed to get myself started and then honestly learned about their seed to seal promise. I knew I was investing my hard earned money into something I could trust. 1) A product that worked. 2) I knew where the product was coming from. Check it out for yourself. Click the link below.

Why Network Marketing?

Like any other job, you get out of it what you put in. YL so happens to have a more affordable way for people to purchase their high-quality goods. It's product based and you aren't investing thousands of dollars each month to build a business. It's work, but it's work I'm passionate about and we're all supporting each other to reach goals! Just because you join YL as a distributor doesn't mean you have to do the business side, but if you decide you want to get these oils in the homes of your loved ones, I'm here to cheer you on!

What's a Toxin?

An antigenic poison or venom of plant or animal origin, especially one produced by or derived from microorganisms and causing disease when present at low concentration in the body. Did you know the U.S. has only banned 12 toxins from our products and Europe has banned over 1,200 toxins? Someone deemed it safe for chemicals to be grandfathered into our products without testing them. Years later it's all coming to a head and we're seeing the tests being performed and we're seeing people's lives being harmed. It's absolutely terrifying. You know what though, we have the ability to make a difference. You can slowly throw out the chemically derived products and replace them with plant-based products. It's also scary jumping ship because we're doing what we've only ever known.

Finding my voice to go against the grain and share my story hasn't been the easiest and people look at me like I'm a little crazier these days, but that's ok. Life shifted for me and I've learned to shift my mindset too. This journey has brought joy when I was in the trenches of my darkest season, I was constantly being pointed back to trusting God with my story and where my life was headed. I've felt more refreshed in this season than I have in a very long time. Forever hashtag blessed. ;)

(Just a small handful of Myrrhmaids on this journey)

Until next time.
